Job Summary: The Mission Advancement Associate plays a vital role in advancing The Store’s fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement efforts. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow in nonprofit development and mission-driven work.
This individual will help ensure that every donor, volunteer, and community partner experience the excellence, warmth, and professionalism that define The Store.
Job Responsibilities/Functions:
Donor Stewardship & Engagement
- Make thank-you calls to donors, sponsors, and supporters to express appreciation and share impact.
- Assist with preparing and sending donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship materials.
- Support accurate record-keeping and data entry in the donor database.
- Help coordinate post-event follow-ups and donor communications.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors, corporate partners, and volunteers.
Event Planning & Execution
- Assist with planning and logistics for Lunch and Learn sessions and fundraising events.
- Lead setup and coordination for Lunch and Learn events, including room preparation, food coordination, materials, and breakdown.
- Support preparation, setup, and post-event follow-up for special events.
- Work directly with event vendors, signage companies, and printing partners.
- Manage event supply lists, timelines, and logistical checklists.
- Assist with tabling events and representing The Store at community outreach opportunities.
Volunteer Communications & Community Engagement
- Support volunteer communications, including confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Support corporate volunteer coordination and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain organized volunteer materials and documentation.
- Help create welcoming experiences for volunteers and visitors.
Administrative & Team Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Mission Advancement team.
- Assist with data tracking, reporting, and maintaining organized systems.
- Support preparation of materials for tours, donor meetings, and presentations.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in all communications and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support team success.
Qualifications:
- Provide general administrative support to the Mission Advancement team.
- Assist with data tracking, reporting, and maintaining organized systems.
- Support preparation of materials for tours, donor meetings, and presentations.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in all communications and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support team success.
Reports to: Director of Mission Advancement
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, onsite.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, type, and view a computer screen for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
